Product Development Engineer (m/f/d)

Your mission in a nutshell

You play a key role in successfully bringing Green-Y’s compressed air energy storage system to market. In your role as a product development engineer, you will manage the development process of compressors, expanders and pressure devices to create innovative and market-ready products. Your area of responsibility includes compliance with guidelines and standards, certifications, tests, documentation and cooperation with internal and external partners. You actively shape our technology roadmap, implement it and work in a dynamic environment.

Your tasks in detail

• Lead the development of compressors, expanders and pressure devices from prototype to market-ready product
• Ensure compliance with relevant directives and standards (e.g. 2014/68/EU, 2006/42/EC, 2014/30/EU, DIN EN 60204) and ensure certification of the systems
• Operate our laboratory systems, carry out tests and accompany factory acceptance tests and commissioning at the customer’s premises
• Create comprehensive documentation for our technical systems
• Carry out hands-on work in our laboratories in Hasle near Burgdorf and on customer installations
• Coordinate effectively with internal resources and external partners
• Actively shape our technology roadmap and implement it, including requirements and risk management

Your profile

• Completed engineering degree or comparable training
• Experience in the market-ready product development of pressure equipment, hydraulic/pneumatic systems or similar
• Familiar with the relevant guidelines, standards and certification processes for marketable products
• Ability to prioritize and implement tasks on time and within the agreed time frame and budget
• Team player with a preference for a dynamic start-up environment
• Independent, proactive and autonomous way of working
• Willingness to work in our laboratories in Hasle near Burgdorf and at customer sites (initially mainly in Switzerland)
• Very good knowledge of German (C1) and good knowledge of English (B1)
